Wookies is one of my favorite Indica dominant strains and is a cross between the legendary Girl Scout Cookies, The White, and Chemdawg 91. If you’re looking for the perfect evening strain that is deeply relaxing yet provokes a cerebral rush of creativity this is the perfect strain for you.
The primary terpenes found in Wookies is Caryophyllene which is believed to promote cerebral effects that stimulate creativity and conversation. In this article, I share my experience with the Wookies weed strain’s effects, taste, aroma, and overall entourage effect from the synergistic blend of terpenes and cannabinoids.

How does the Wookies weed strain feel like?
Wookies Strain from Lucky Chuckie Dispensary
The Wookies strain will leave your body feeling stony and relaxed yet your head is lifted into a land of creativity, smiles, and euphoria. Unlike most Indica dominant strains that have you feeling sedated, Wookies will relax your body but is deeply stimulating in the mind and is also energizing enough for you to focus on tasks.
This isn’t a strain that will leave you couch-locked feeling stuck, but instead, I was scrolling my phone taking screenshots for inspiration projects, having deep and laugh-filled conversations with my friends, and best of all it was effortless to fall asleep with this strain.
Who this strain is for: If you want a strain that provokes creativity and conversation yet still gives you the classic Indica body high, then the Wookies strain is perfect for you. It felt as if I was resting but my mind was just exploding with ideas. This is one of the few Indica dominants I would recommend for social smoking as well as it leaves you deeply relaxed in social settings yet it pushes you to conversate if you’re normally introverted. The only deal-breaker for some is that this strain stimulates your appetite for some deep munchies. If you are looking for a strain that curbs the munchies I recommend checking out the Sugar Cookies strain.
Wookies weed strain entourage effect
The entourage effect is a popular theory that the full spectrum of the marijuana plant, such as the terpenes and phytocannabinoids, come together to enhance the overall effect of the particular cannabis strain. In this section, we take a look at the four most dominant terpenes and the potential role they play in what you feel when smoking the Wookies strain.
Disclaimer: The terpene profile may vary depending on what medical dispensary you purchased your Wookies strain from. This section is meant to help you understand how the terpenes influence the effects of this strain, but more research is needed to understand fully how terpenes affect the body from consuming cannabis.

Limonene: 0.14%
Linalool: 0.08%

What are the dominant terpenes for Wookies?
Wookies is one of my favorite strains to smoke at night because not only does it relax me deeply after a long day of work, but it also effortlessly stimulates my brain for creativity. The most dominant terpene found in Wookies is Caryophyllene at almost 23% of the total terpene profile. Beta-caryophyllene is one of the few terpenes that is believed to bind directly to the endocannabinoid receptors, which suggests a euphoric cerebral effect that stimulates creativity and promotes conversation.
The second most dominant terpene found in the Wookies weed strain is Myrcene at 23% of the total terpene profile. Early studies suggest that Myrcene will promote a more relaxed and calm state. Together Myrcene and Caryophyllene take up almost half of the total terpene profile, which in my personal opinion explains why this strain is not only deeply relaxing but perfect for creativity, brainstorming, and deep conversations.
When is the best time to smoke Wookies strain?
Wookies is a versatile strain and unlike most Indica-dominants this strain is also great for social smoking and great for stimulating the mind for creative projects or brainstorming. I favor this strain for evening and nighttime smoking because it stimulates my appetite and promotes sleep, but it can also be smoked during the day or in social settings as well.
The third most dominant terpene found in the Wookies strain is Limonene. While it remains unclear how limonene achieves its therapeutic effects, early research has found the inhalation of limonene vapor increases serotonin and dopamine levels which is believed to help relieve stress. I felt smoking the Wookies strain was deeply relaxing, melting my stresses away at night which is why I recommend this strain for evening or nighttime smoking.
The fourth most dominant terpene in Wookies is Pinene. Early research on cannabis terpenes suggests that Pinene may help people to feel euphoric, energetic, and creative. While more research is needed to understand just how cannabis terpenes affect our bodies, I felt what made Wookies my favorite strain was how much it stimulated my brain for creativity.
What are the primary cannabinoids in Wookies strain?
While THC is the most notable cannabinoid found in Wookies there is also an abundance of CBN and CBD as well. CBN (cannabinol) is not considered a psychoactive cannabinoid, so you won’t feel high, but it’s believed to make you feel drowsy. While Wookies will work for social settings because it’s a chatty buzz, I love smoking this strain at night because it helps me get deep rest when I need to sleep.
Disclaimer: The cannabinoids in your Wookies weed strain can vary depending on what medical dispensary you purchased your strain from. This section was meant to help you understand the effects of the cannabinoids in your strain.
THC: 21.67 - 24%

CBC: 0.23 - 0.86%
CBG: 0.16 - 1.02%

THCV: 0.15 - 0.64%
How does Wookies strain taste and smell?
The unique combinations of terpenes in Wookies strain give this cannabis plant its fragrance, taste, and appearance. When you crack open the nugs you’re hit with an earthy and piney aroma with a diesel/menthol undertone from the Bisabolol terpene. The flavor is very floral with notes of citrus and diesel, there was nothing to rave about with taste and the simplest way I can definite it is: unique.
Pinene: (earthy, herby, sweet)
Myrcene: (sweet, fruity, spicy)
Humulene: (earthy, woody, spicy)
Limonene: (zesty, lemon, citrus)
Linalool: (sweet, citrus, floral)
Bisabolol: (nutty, floral, diesel)
Terpinolene: (floral, citrus, earthy)
Phellandrene: (minty, citrus, woody)
Caryophyllene: (spicy, cinnamon, peppery)
What do Wookies nugs look like?
The physical characteristics of Girl Scout Cookies are present in the Wookies strain with the frosty trichomes. The buds are gorgeous with a dense forest green and lush purple hues. The Indica nugs are wide, dense, and bulky giving it the Chewbacca appearance of a “Wookie”. I purchased by Wookies strain from Lucky Chuckie, a recreational DC dispensary and you can see in the photos above how abundant the purples weave with the orange pistils.
