This is now by far my favorite weed spot in DC and I can only recommend it ! The choice of varieties is incredible and they always get new strains which is really a change compared to same old other place. I dont really care about "local" stuff Im in it for quality and service which is what I get there 100% of the time + very fast turnaround as I was able to pass my pickup order online on their site which is now much better than before. Special thanks to Ant who found me the blue dream I was looking for ! By the way why these guys are not listed in best shops with others ?
What a cool experience at Giving tree DC on H street, this place is absolutely a vibe ! The products they carry are sourced from trusted and premium vendors, I think the products are mainly picked from California by the staff, which is really nice ! They also explained the profiles of every flower, and they are very passionate about it. It was refreshing to see a store that is so welcoming, best place hands down in DC. The Giving Tree store is also so beautiful art gallery, with colorful paintings and original artworks from the community. The building in itself is such a piece of art with a beautiful facade. Giving Tree dc is a GEM , go out there and pay them a visit when you're in town !
The Giving Tree is one of the worst cannabis gifting shops in Washington DC. Here is why: 1) Some of the strain names are unfamiliar and cannot be identified on cannabis websites such as leafly.com. Are they new specialty strains or other strains with a new name to make it seem like a brand-new strain? 2) Related to above, The Giving Tree employees write the strain names on luggage ticket cards which are placed sideways in the display shelves so the customer must crane one's head to the side to read it. The Giving Tree tries to fool their customers into buying strains with similar sounding names. Example: recently The Giving Tree was selling a strain called "Northern Lights Haze," which is a sativa strain. But The Giving Tree employees wrote the words "Northern Lights" on the name card on one line and wrote the word "Haze" on the line immediately BELOW, making it difficult to understand that the strain had a three-word name instead of simply "Northern Lights." The Giving Tree employees wanted to fool their customers into thinking that they were selling the more popular indica strain of "Northern Lights" instead. Deceptive. 3) At least one of The Giving Tree employees smokes the merchandise during business hours: do you really want to buy from a stoned seller? 4) The Giving Tree is located on H Street NE in Washington DC, a neighborhood which is plagued by rising rates of violent crime. Look for gifted cannabis in safer neughborhoods of our nation's capital such as Northwest Washington's Adams Morgan or Glover Park.
