Super Dope

Super Dope Brand has been making waves for their provocative Popperz weed series, which garnered an unbelievable amount of hype for Amarena De Limon, Gelonade and Runtz. Now, Super Dope Brand has been pushing their Mega Z series, inspired by Capcom’s Mega Man games. Their collaboration with premium Cali indoor cultivator Hi Tech put the market on notice- Super Dope isn’t playing games. Here’s what the team thought of the Super Dope weed we got to smoke.

Review: Lemon Popperz

Lemon Popperz is a cross between (Gelato 41 x Lemon Tree) and it’s clear why this cultivar is putting Super Dope Brand on the map. When Super Dope Brand released their first collab bag, Cherry Popperz, many were shocked that a brand would use sex appeal to the extent at which they did to market what was effectively just Runtz. However, when Lemon Popperz came around, Super Dope managed to convince the community that the flower was worth talking about rather than the shock value of the bags, coming to the table with what can only be described as an elite sample of Gelonade.

Lemon Popperz is a step beyond any Gelonade we’ve gotten to try to date, and it still remains one of the most unique flavors to come into the spotlight in the last few years. It’s got a saturated lemonhead candy flavor to it as well as extreme potency that’s sure to make smokers feel like they’re spending the morning on a sunny tropical beach. Like any great flower, the scent translates directly to the flavor and our sample smoked like a dream. If you’ve been holding out on trying Gelonade, we recommend trying this sample because Lemon Popperz is a nearly prime example of this cross. While some may find it a bit too potent for a wake & bake, it’s a perfect strain for weekend or vacation morning vibes.

Review: Mega Z Blue

In the Super Dope Brand marketing materials, Mega Z is described as “an Original Z that is now Mega.” It has since been confirmed to be a version of Zkittlez (disputed clone-only x {Grape Ape x Grapefruit Kush}) that was the same cut as TenCo’s Yellow Zushi, which made waves of its own. This version of Z differs from the original Green R. Fieldz version in that the aroma and flavor leans more lime and gas as opposed to the sweeter original version (which also exhibits bitter notes). The effect is relaxing, but remains functional. Not quite sedative, Mega Z Blue lets you simply revel in the waves of euphoria. Mega Z Blue is full-stop the best smoke we’ve gotten from a large-scale California brand this year, and it checks every box we have for it.

Mega Z Blue

We can definitively say that Hi Tech ranks among the highest quality California flower producers in our opinion, exemplified by their newest release of Mega Z Blue. Even though Hi Tech’s lineup encompasses some of the hottest flavors of the last two years, Mega Z Blue stands above it all as being the best smoke. While we marveled at the light ash and excellent flavor from the Mega Z Dark when we reviewed it, Mega Z Blue ended up being head and shoulders above Mega Z Dark in both regards, and places it in the highest tier of production-scale flower we’ve evaluated to date.

Review: Mega Z Dark

Mega Z Dark is Hi-Tech’s version of Zoap, an F2 cross of Rainbow Sherbert #16 with itself, originally bred by Deep East. If you’re not familiar with the award-winning Zoap, you have probably been living under a rock since the beginning of 2021, as it absolutely took the world by storm until Doja decided to shelf it for their newer releases. However, this sample of Mega Z Dark is easily the best Zoap has been in basically every regard. It’s fresh and has an immense, musty tamarind candy scent, analogous flavor, and smokes like a dream. This production of Zoap has the lightest ash and smoothest inhale we’ve experienced from any Rainbow Sherb cross at the time of writing, and it’s truly deserving of this Super Dope facelift. If you’re looking for the best thing on the market in a branded bag, Mega Z Dark is a serious contender, and it’s not one readers will want to miss out on.
