Cereal Milk
Cereal Milk is a cross of Y-Life and Snowman developed by Powerzzzup for Cookies. This strain came from a pheno hunt of Powerzzzup’s Snowman x YLife, which also produced the strains Gary Payton and Snow Montana.
As the story goes, Cereal Milk was named when Kenny Dumetz (PieGuy, @powerzzzup) and Cookies’ Berner smoked it together for the first time and noticed the sugary sweet gas scent and flavor as well as the density of milky white trichomes on the buds.
This strain has become a fixture of Cookies’ menu and they use it to flavor their CBD menu. The genetics for this strain haven’t been held particularly closely, as less than two years after its release, Cereal Milk has already been seen grown in the types of illegal greenhouse operations we mentioned in “How Much Does a Pound of Weed Cost?".
Additionally, Cannabiotix has their own version of Cereal Milk that is Strawberry Lemonade x Thicc Mints Cookies. While the Powerzzzup version is all sugary berry with hints of gas, the Cannabiotix version has a Dutch skunk and sweet strawberry haze flavor with some Cookies gas on the back end. The Powerzzzup version is also more popular among traditional market distribution, whereas the CBX version has proliferated throughout Greenthumb Industries’ brands nationwide in legal recreational and medical markets.
The CBX version of Cereal Milk won the High Times Cannabis Cup SoCal: People’s Choice Edition 2020.

Cereal Milk Strain Effects
Being a polyhybrid of three OG Kush descendants, users will likely experience an even full-body high that lasts many hours. General feelings of relaxation, couch lock and euphoria have been reported. This is the type of strain where the effects are immediately intense, but they mellow out eventually. When the effects wear off after several hours there may be some burnout or grogginess afterwards.
It’s definitely good to keep a glass of water around when smoking Cereal Milk, and if you need to be discreet, you might need some eyedrops to prevent red eyes.
Cereal Milk Characteristics and Terpene Profile
Cereal Milk is known for its dense calyx layering, deep green and purple hues and above-average resin production. The bud shape ends more spearhead-shaped than stout, with a moderate amount of fox tailing, and the buds are sparsely covered in amber pistils. The initial scent is a sugary berry smell with notes of fuel on the end.
The sweet and zesty scents of Cereal Milk’s profile are attributed to many terpenes, with beta-caryophyllene and limonene often being the dominant terpenes. Myrcene, humulene, linalool, and pinene are also commonly found in Cereal Milk.
Growing Cereal Milk
Cereal Milk usually takes between 56-63 days in flower but may take as long as 70 days. It’s recommended that growers top their plant at least once and build a bushy canopy roughly 3-5 feet tall.
The Cannabiotix version of Cereal Milk seeds were available from Limited Tree Genetics but you’ll have a hard time tracking any down. For another option, Mount Vision Pharms has an F2 version available on Strainly. Clones currently available on Strainly include this Cookie Fam cut and this Limited Tree Genetics cut.
Keep in mind that seeds and clones don’t contain THC and are therefore federally exempted from the controlled substances act by the hemp provisions of the 2018 Farm Bill, but your local authorities may beg to differ.
