Review: Strawberry Jamz

f you’re unfamiliar with Exotic Genetix, odds are you’ve smoked at least one or two of their strains and didn’t even know. The Washington-state based seed maker essentially has a monopoly on the strawberry flavor profile with their Strawberries & Cream. Their prodigal expression blends the gassiness and punch of Cookies & Cream with their signature strawberry jelly phenotype of Mimosa. That pheno became a staple of the Exotic Genetix lineup and its genetics led to strains like Red Pop, Luxuriotti, and Strawberry Gary.

Strawberry Jamz is a cross between (Strawberries n Cream x Runtz) and the Runtz adds a bit of saturated tart flavor into the mix. The nugs are bright green and exceptionally pungent in a way that’s analogous to the flavor. Within a few puffs we noticed the onset of its uplifting effect, which persisted for quite some time and caused little burnout, a combo that makes a great way to start the day. If you’re an East Coast sativa lover interested in checking out a more modern flavor, Strawberry Jamz is your jam, man.

Review: Lemon Meringue

Lemon Meringue is a dynamic cross of Lemon Skunk and Cookies and Cream originally bred by Exotic Genetix. We have smoked this strain maybe a hundred times since we have started our toking journey but this potent batch has us in a chokehold. The fragrance profile is so intense, it’s like a citrusy explosion enveloping our nostrils.

Once we open the bag, zesty lemon notes frolicking with hints of creamy sweetness hit the olfactory senses. It’s like someone took a lemon meringue pie, baked it into a magical herb, and gave it a pungent makeover. Lemon Meringue flaunts an array of colors ranging from greens to purples. The nugs look like fluffy clouds of green and shades of dark purples. The buds of Lemon Meringue are are wrapped in a delicate blanket of crystalline trichomes that are sure to leave little friends on the fingers. The fiery orange pistils weave through the nugs like delicate strands of saffron, adding a touch of warm autumn hues to this delightful visual feast.

Once rolled into a joint, the taste is almost pin point to the aroma Lemon Meringue exudes. With its tangy, lemon-forward profile, this strain provides a burst of citrusy goodness that made our taste buds tingle. Within the exhale, our taste glands discovered delightful undertones of sweet creaminess that balanced out the initial flavor. Lemon Meringue strikes a wild balance between tart and sweet, leaving a lingering zest that made our lips involuntarily pucker. This strain brings an uplifting and energizing buzz that had us feeling as light as a cloud. This potent high is often accompanied by a gentle wave of euphoric bliss that kept us grounded and at ease.

Review: Pressure

Pressure is a rare strain which is a dynamic cross of Gary Payton and Rainbow Chip which was primitively bred by Exotic Genetics. Upon first glance, Pressure boasts beautiful thick and sticky buds. The buds are coated in trichomes, giving them a frosty look that would make even Jack Frost himself jealous. Once opening the jar, Pressure exudes a strong earthy aroma with a hint of citrus that tickles your nose in all the right ways. When the nugs were broken down, the scent became even more pronounced, with a distinct pungency that some might say it smells like a combination of earthy, diesel fuel and a hint of fruit. But trust me, it’s not as bad as it sounds! It’s actually quite invigorating.

When smoking through glass, Pressure delivers a complex flavor profile. Our taste buds detected notes of pine and earth, with a hint of citrus that left our taste buds begging for more. The smoke is smooth and easy on the lungs, making for an enjoyable smoking experience from start to finish. Pressure is a real powerhouse of a strain that lives up to its name. This strain is a bit of a chameleon. Depending on the dosage and individual tolerance, it can offer a range of experiences. At lower doses, it’s great for a creative burst or a social gathering. At higher doses, it can be quite sedative, providing a calming body buzz that’s perfect for relaxing after a long day as this strain hits fast and hard.
